Experience

Amelie has five years of experience as a journalist, contributing to outlets such as The Independent, Vice, Metro, Clash, Huck, and LGBTQ Nation. For nearly three years, she worked as a reporter at The Morning Advertiser, focusing on food and profiling Michelin-starred chefs like Tom Kerridge, Stephen Harris, and Sarah Hayward. During this time, she launched the recipe series "Dish Deconstructed," chaired panels at national conferences, and appeared on Times Radio as a spokesperson for the industry during the chef shortage crisis. Amelie has also written about international bar scenes, including a feature on Chiang Mai's only lesbian bar for Diva. Additionally, she served as the chief editor for arts and literature magazine HEBE, and honed her editorial skills as a sub-editor at The Times and The Daily Mail. She joined Static Media in 2025, where she enjoys uncovering the stories behind your favorite foods.

Education

Amelie earned a first-class honors B.A. in English literature from Durham University and holds a Gold Standard NCTJ journalism qualification from PA Media Academy.
